Understandings of the Covenant within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

The Disciples of Christ have understood themselves to be a “covenantal church” – not a hierarchical church or a connectional church; not a confession church or a congregational church. We are a people bound together by God’s covenant of love and called to give expression to that covenant in our life together as congregations, regions, and general ministries. This packet of documents brings together several important resources that represent different initiatives we have taken to understand and live out the meaning and implications of being a “people of the covenant” both as a church and in our ecumenical witness and dialogues.
